definition:

objective: to give form to a planar surface map through folding.

The thinness of paper can be made structural through folding, laminating, overlap, and tabs. Use the Computer to manufacture maps and shapes, and print them so they can be cut, folded and affixed in a CAD/ CAM process to create a light fixture. Use a 7 Watt lamp, a 6' black cord, and an inline switch.

desription:

The transparency of the paper, and the overlap of the folded surfaces intensify the complexity of the mapped surfaces when the light is turned on, and shines through multiple layers simultaneouly. The light then reveals the nature of the lamps folded structure and the nature of the images mapped onto it.
