[ dmg . alumni . William Washington ] edit

William Washington was a Master student in the Technical Communications department and is interestested in the design of tangible interfaces and 'bridging the gap' between the virtual world and the real world. At DMG, he was working on designing a calm media tool (using crickets from the MIT media lab) which allows a user to monitor his/her virtual community without using a Graphical User Interface. He has been involved in researching 3D digital drawing and working environments for use in the conceptualization of a 3D digital desk. In his continually-shrinking spare time, William enjoys making lamps, painting, and exploring the urban environment.
