Roark joined the DMG in the Autumn of 2009. His background includes sculpture, design of the Seattle Center skate-board park (now demolished), teaching, and writing--he is author of "Architectural Model Building: Tools, Techniques, & Materials" which came out in the Winter of 2010. His interests focus on the affordances of physical models and tangible interaction. In spring 2010, he and Kevin Conway studied relative benefits of alternative forms of representation.
