Amanda joined the MSdc program in the autumn of 2010, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Design at The Ohio State University. She has worked as a furniture designer, specializing in digital manufacturing, as well as a digital design consultant. Her research primarily focuses on generative design, materiality, and digital fabrication.
In addition to being a member of the DMG, she is also a research assistant at the UW Integrated Design Lab. At the lab she is assisting with sustainable design research focusing on dynamic facade systems.
